A wonderful joint meeting between Miracles and Igniters! An evening that warmed the hearts of friendship on a cold -30C evening! Laughter, inspiration, and creativity. Great selling in the Table Topics! Special thanks to members from both clubs who made it an memorable evening! Silent auction, door prizes, and scrumptious food. We look forward to the next one!

Darlene - On Sat. Nov. 4, 2006 Darlene was inspiring with her stories and quotes placing 3rd in a very competitive Table Topics contest. This was a newsworthy event - she was featured in the Lethbridge Herald!

On Sat. Nov. 4, 2006 at the Leaders Luncheon, Marvin (right) was awarded the highest recognition, as a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). Mona our District 42 Governor (left) shares in the happy celebration along with other DTM recipients and Joan our Lt. Gov. of Marketing (right)

At the District Governors Ball, Mona sitting at the head table beside her strongest supporter, husband Ted. Sharing her passion for her theme "Lead with Purpose, Communicate with Confidence."



Nandini was honoured as District 42 Toastaster of the Year(left). She loves sharing it with one of her supportive friends Judy, Division Governor of the Year. They celebrated together with their friends. We are all so proud of you Nandini!

Anthony, District 42 Public Relations Officer sitting at the Head Table (centre)with Rhys (District Newsletter Editor) and guest Leigh. On Sun. Nov. 5, he hosted the farewell luncheon including recognizing members and Clubs for participating in PR activities in the District. A dynamic leader!

Darlene and Sue Rise to the Top!

On October 21st representing Igniters, Darlene spoke with passion and humour in the Table Topics contest. In fact her witty and engaging answer brought about sweet results! Darlene won the Division J Table Topics contest! The question was "what does healthy eating mean to you?" and she shared her love for chocolate.

Sue is simply an amazing Toastmaster! Doug Kalin past Div. G Governor paid tribute to her accomplishments and accolades over the past year (July 1, 2005 - June 30, 2006) Sue was awarded with Division G "Toastmaster of the Year" representing Calgary Advanced (CATs) We are so proud of our dynamic President Sue!

At the October 21st Division J speech contest, Judy Mooney past Division J Governor spoke highly of the 2005-2006 "Of the Year" Award winners. Two of them went to Igniters club members! Emily was awarded the Division J "Rookie of the Year". Nandini received the Division J "Toastmaster of the Year". We are so proud of you both. Congratulations.
