Division E Awards

Sept - Congrats to Trevor as Div E Area Drector of the Year!! Let's cheer him on at the District Awards Sept 28. Yvonne won the E6 Toastmaster of the Year!

Igniters have been having fun developing their leadership and communication skills. Lots of opportunities for growth at the weekly meetings every Tues evening at events around the city.

Karaoke and Leadership Training 

Sept - A chance to have fun and friendship and practice your vocal variety skills at Karaoke. 

August - District 42 held an in person officer training. Ksenija trained Treasurers and Nandini helped teach VP of Membership. Ali helped with a Demo Meeting and Marvin participated in learning to give a Keynote.

Olympics! Teamwork and Collaboration

August - Luis our VP of Education planned a fun meeting! We were in Teams participating in four Olympic Games. Build a Pyramid, Blow the Ball in the Goal, Stack Bolts with Chopstick, and Eat Oreo from your forehead! We also celebrated birthdays for Marvin, Mona, and Yvonne.

Summer of Learning

   

Last Tuesday, I attended an Igniters summer meeting and was surprised to find many members there.  It is a summer of learning. As we entered the room, Elaine had ice cream and cones ready for members to cool off on a hot summer day. What a treat!

David presented his Icebreaker speech and had us all laughing with his stories. Congratulations, David!

Luis teamed up with Diane to be Toastmaster for the first time. He had an excellent meeting mentor in Diane and encouraged everyone to pair up with someone if we are nervous about taking on a role. Way to go Luis and Diane.

There were a few other members taking on roles for the first time. Samuel did Table Topics Master and Trish did Quiz Master.

Elaine won best Table Topics with a heartfelt speech in reply to the question “What good has transformation handed to you?”
